Native American Navaho Indian art. The Red Side Personage. The back reads "This is a painting of the red sided personage of the night chart. He is wearing a headgear of basket decorated with robin feather and its right hand he is holding a rattle of gourd decorated with turkey feather. In its left hand is the bow decorated with eagle tail feather. The white streaks crossing each other in its body are sun radiants. The painting is made with natural color sandstone, charcoal and sands. Apprentice Navjo Sand painter Tom Yozzie." The back board measures 16 and one quarter by 23 and one quarter inches. The sand painting measures 14 and one half inches by 7 and one half inches. Excellent condition.

Item # 6414

Wisha Tso Native American Navaho Indian hammered copper bowl. This Navajo bowl is a museum quality work of art. It was hammered painstakingly by hand to a perfect form. A traditional Navaho Indian design motif is hammered all around the inside top edge. The inside of the bowl is hammered to resemble snakeskin and the outside is hammered smooth. Beautiful rich patina. Measures 11 and one half inches across, 3 and one half inches high, and about a sixteenth of an inch thick. This is a rare piece. The Navahos did little copper work.
